Micro-Botox

Micro-Botox is a form of micro-needling, also known as intradermal Botox or mesobotox/mesotherapy. It utilizes a more diluted form of Botox (or Dysport/Xeomin) through the process of micro-needling, meaning multiple small dose injections into the skin.

Botox Treatment

This therapy causes sweat glands, oil glands and pores to shrink, tightens the skin, and results in a smoother and clearer appearance. It also is effective at reducing excessive sweating and oily skin. Once the Micro-Botox is administered, it compels your sweat glands, oil glands, and pores to shrink. This in turn tightens your skin and reduces the appearance of moderate fine lines and wrinkles, making your skin appear smoother and clearer.

How is this different from regular Botox?

The major difference between Micro-Botox and Botox is that

traditional Botox is released right into the major muscles of the face to block nerve activity, while Micro-Botox is only injected at a superficial level into the layers just beneath your skin.

Because it provides a less intensive treatment that isn’t used to relax all of the major facial muscles, Micro-Botox has unique effects that make it appealing to a wider range of people, particularly younger people. This is compared to Botox treatments that are usually only recommended for people in their mid-30s and older, (ie. people who are already showing some signs of aging).

Because Micro-Botox uses a more diluted version of Botox, it is often used to treat more minor skin imperfections and fine lines that traditional Botox can’t always treat.
